After reaching an agreement on splitting IHouse's membership to our board, we submitted our application and were promptly approved by our Board.
One month into it, our IDX was SHUT OFF with NO WARNING. Reason? IHouse Internal Audit claimed we were not in compliance. When asked to forward any contact from our board, they said there wasn't any. IHouse made this decision on their own in order to assure "their compliance".
After verifying our compliance with our Board, it still took 2 weeks to "convince" some woman working in IHouse's Internal Audit Department. This woman's need to be correct, actually caused her to call our board to try to convince our board of our non-compliance. After numerous emails and phone calls, she finally conceded in turning on our IDX stating that we were not in compliance, but our board said we could use the software. Our board does not agree with her analysis, but we appeared to be ready to roll, so what did it matter what she thought as long as we were moving forward? IDX policies were emailed to her, but she was insistent that she was the policing force for our board while our board continued to scratch their heads to what part of we were in compliance she did not understand.
If looking for another governing authority other than NAR, state law, or your board, choose IHouse. They will be happy to attempt to determine your compliance even if that differs from your actual governing authorities.
